What is a Masseria? A Masseria is a fortified farmhouse. It is a timeless embodiment of history and tradition in the Puglia region, standing as a testament to the enduring legacy of the 16th century.
Gallipoli Masseria: Puglia’s Hidden Gem
Time slows down at this Masseria, an upscale farm stay with charming suites set amidst Puglia’s serene countryside. You can participate in farm activities like feeding the animals or collecting fresh eggs for breakfast, picking sun-ripened figs or oranges, exploring bike trails, and relaxing with yoga or wine tasting. Matera is a historic village in southern Italy known for its world-famous Sassi quarters, where caves have turned into dwellings, churches, and palaces. The oldest part of the Sassi, the CIVITA, houses rooms and an ancient church called the “Cripta della Civita,” all renovated to retain their original features. It overlooks the Murgia park and its rock-hewn churches. This project realized a unique cultural project, preserving the ancient stones and caves’ essence with extreme accuracy while conserving the original site.

On this tour, you will join Ami and Don in Italy for an unforgettable adventure. Upon arriving in Bari, our transfer service will greet you at the airport and take you to your Masseria accommodations. The day will conclude with a light meal and refreshments, which is the perfect beginning of your trip.

What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel up to 90 days before the tour for a full refund. Cancellations made 70-90 days prior are 75% refundable, 45-70 days prior are 50% refundable, and within 45 days of the tour start, cancellations are non-refundable.
Is the deposit refundable?
The CAD 500.00 deposit is non-refundable after July 20th, 2024. Please ensure your plans are confirmed before this date to avoid any loss.
What should I pack for the trip?
We recommend packing comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a reusable water bottle, and any personal medications. Don’t forget your camera to capture the beautiful scenery!
Are meals included in the tour price?
Yes, the tour price includes 29 meals, which cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner as specified in the itinerary. Refreshments and some local specialties are also included.
What travel documents do I need?
Please ensure you have a valid passport with at least six months’ validity from the date of return. It’s also advisable to carry a copy of your travel insurance and any necessary visas.

If you plan to enter or leave the EU carrying the equivalent of €10,000 or more in cash, you must declare it at customs. Cash includes currency notes, coins, bankers’ drafts, cheques, and travellers’ cheques. If you do not declare the cash, customs authorities could take away your money, and you may receive a fine of as much as €8,000.
Electricity
When travelling to another country, you may need an adaptor and/or electric converter to plug your electrical devices and appliances into the local power grid. An adaptor changes the plug so it fits into the outlet. A converter changes the voltage coming out of the outlet.
To determine what you need, first, verify if the plugs on your devices fit the outlet of your destination.
Europe
In Europe, the plug type is C, which has two round pins. If your plugs do not match this description, you will need an adaptor.
Next, verify the voltage of each device you intend to bring. You can find this information on the cord, plug, or on the device itself. Many devices are dual voltage. For those, you do not need a converter. If your device is not dual voltage and it differs from the voltage of your destination, you will need a voltage converter.
In Europe, the voltage is 220v-230v. If necessary, make sure to get a converter that converts to this voltage.
